I was riding to Sydney but in need of a repair to a switch on my 1200RT - "Could they squeeze me in at short notice?" ... they were a mechanic done on the day but were willing to make a space to fix me up. They seemed a good natured bunch and did the job on the spot without complaint.

I am in the market for a new Harley. Specifically a Street Glide. I bought my last 2 Harleys from Ken at Seaside Motorcycles and I can't speak highly enough of the service or his knowledge of Harleys. When it became time to upgrade I called in at the shop. The business had been sold and although there was no name on the building it was basically a Yamaha dirt bike shop with an obligatory smattering of other brands. I asked about the Street Glide and they said they had one coming. They never asked for my name or number but I kept my eye on the stock. After a while I saw one in the window (I am a Truckie and usually go past at night). I sent them an e-mail. No reply. I went on the website. No reply. I rang them and spoke to someone who didn't even know what a Street Glide was, I left my name and number, no reply. Going through a Mid Life Crisis or just starting out these boys Andy & Steve Fischer are the ones to see. I went to Bike Shops at Lismore & found that either they don't know how to relate to the general public but they as well rest on the laurels of their product that they are selling. The difference at Ballina Motorcycles is that they gave me the time of day to an old War Vet going throgh the stages in life that requires getting on a bike and riding free. I ended up buying the Yamaha xvs650a Cruiser because they took the time out to explain, what I needed they listened to what I wanted as well as not trying to take advantage nor blow wind up a dry sail. They gained my trust and I believe they are the Best People to deal with any age bracket in this area. ...read more
