I have been here before when they first open the restaurant and that i can tell you its the same owners, same attitudes and the same menus. The menus lack imagination and the food does not reflect the price.
The staff are really friendly, banter every time I visit (I live locally). Bistro is great, price is affordable and the atmosphere is relaxed but lively.
