Barbuto Restaurant
Stumbled upon this restaurant whilst up in the northern side of Sydney and very glad I did. A funky space with friendly service, extensive menu and kids friendly also. All the food were delicious and presented well. The barramundi had a crispy skin, fried chicken had a crunchy flavoursome coating, steak beautifully cooked & salads substantial and well composed. The sangria was refreshing on a hot summers day and was a great drink to start the meal. Cocktails are also well made. I would love to try the ribs one day as it looks and smells delicious!
We had a mid week, early booking and could not wait to get out. Very noisy, food was bad to OK. The garlic bread was served in a sea of oil and was not obviously a loaf of anything. The mains were ok but nothing special. Service was very good.
Will not go back. Not cheap.
The owners have got it right! Great food & service, awesome atmosphere and always full. They are so accomodating as well, the first time we went we didn't have a reservation but they bent over backwards to squeeze the 4 of us in.
The last time we were there about 3 weeks ago there wasn't as much sauce on the ribs as previous times. I loved the fact the ribs literally swam in the sauce.
