when we visited again in 2014 it appeared to possibly have different owners as prices of meals seeemd to be more reasonable and seemed to be more family friendly. 2014 visit seemed to be catering more for older couples and food very pricey, still lovely venue with artwork displayed and lovely outdoor courtyard, great for weddings.
We arrived, checked the menu, asked about corkage, management replied "I don't normally charge corkage but other charges $10".

My fiance and I had our celebration dinner at the Barefoot - as he popped the question on our far NQ holiday and we were on Magnetic Island when I said YES! We asked the locals where the best restaurant on the island was - and 3 our 4 said The Barefoot. OMG - this pace is amazing - art, incredible wine/champagne list and whilst my husband-to-be opted for the Reef & Beef, I ordered the Seafood Platter. Both were absolutely gorgeous and exceptional value for the prices. We sat with fairy lights twinkling in a bush setting and moved for coffee out the front to enjoy the last rays of sunset which was magnificent. The staff (including the owner Sascha) were so attentive and gave us a free glass of champagne when they heard about our celebration. We are planning now to change all our wedding plans and get married at this incredible restaurant. Thank you Barefoot, we'll be in touch!
