Woeful customer service from service mechanics. Took my 2001 Passat to Barloworld Moorabbin after an oil leak was detected. They looked and quoted $7k of works to be done. We proceeded with most of the works and found the car still had an oil leak. My regular mechanic showed me the leak and advised Barloworld should fix it under warranty. They also changed the oil. Took it back to barloworld and after signing something saying i would pay for anything if it was not covered by warranty, they denied it was leaking. When I took it back to my mechanic 7 weeks later they provided photos of the oil covering everything and again had to top up the oil. My dad took the car back to Barloworld and they acknowledged that there was a leak and that they fixed it. After fumes were found to be entering the cabin, took it in again and they advised no oil leak was detected and stated the smell was from an air freshener (clearly burnt oil scented air freshener???) Guys I havent used your service department for several years. Have left multiple messages and cannot count how many times I have tried to call your service department to ask advice before booking in for a service. I recommend you spend some time and try contacting yourselves. You will find that you cant get through at any time of the day and that if you manage to get through without being hung up on or returning to reception multiple times, you will get inconsistent advice from employees. In this day and age there are options. Good luck charging the rates you do with the level of service you are offering.
