Barrenjoey House
If you are looking for an intimate summer dining experience on a candlelit terrace, or a romantic cosy winter night by a roaring fire, Barrenjoey House has an atmosphere everyone will enjoy.
This is a rather nice establishment at a location that is probably as far north in Sydney as you can possibly get. Actually, I noticed that it is probably the only place where you can grab a drink for quite a distance, and even though it looks like a restaurant, they do have a rather comfortable area where you can sit if all you want is a beer. Oh, and the staff are rather pleasant as well.
It's been a long time wanting to come here to finally make it for an impromptu lunch. We shared a lovely fresh entree of fig, prosciutto and cheese which was delicious. I had the mushroom risotto which was lovely but a bit heavy for a summers day after such a fresh gorgeous salad. Service was lovely and I loved the interior.
Lovely restaurant in a great location, have been here twice now the first time was amazing with great food and service but the second not so good as it felt like they forgot about us. Would still go back though as it really is a lovely spot and the food is very tasty.
What a great place to nestle down for lunch after taking in the picturesque view from the ferry & walking along the beach. The service was impeccable, the decor & atmosphere welcoming with the open bifold doors & the food very enjoyable. We ordered the seafood platter which was delightful offering an assortment of hot & cold seafood. Prices are reasonable for its location. Highly recommend ferrying across from Ettalong & having a day out :D
