Just the worst, I've dealt with Barry Plant Preston twice before this time and it was much the same experience. Frustrating to say the least when you call multiple times and leave several voicemails and send follow up emails to receive no communication. I had to go into the office to make my precence known and even then they were unhelpful.
I have been renting for nearly 10 years now and Barry plant Preston are the absolute worst of the worst if you are a renter. They do not care about you as a tenant, until you threaten to involve a lawyer and even now as I have attempted to follow up about a property they have disappointed again with their monotoned receptionist giving a general spiel about miscommunication as the agents hide in their offices pretending they are not there, whilst people leave ...read more
This is the" WORST" real estate agency EVER!!. Please Please do yourself a favour and avoid the stress and anxiety. They are hopeless in rentals and sales and are lazy, lack people skills . I was stitched up when I sold one of my rental propertys and they lied to me and caused me alot of grief. When I had the rental property they didn't follow up repairs and tell me there were problems and damage with the house which ended up a big cost in the end when I had to sell. The rental agents are slack and useless, do not rent your property with them. Trust me I know alot of people and they have not been hapy with there lack of services.
I have been in property for 40 years, and yes I have to agree with the above.
Lack of interest, lazy and appauling are words that come to mind.
So 4 months after my original review, I get a call asking about my review. I said that I had received no paperwork regarding vacating a property, not seen quotes and not been contacted regarding anything to do with vacating. I was told I would receive all this in an email which to this day, I have still not received. I am now getting extremely nasty phone calls saying that due to the facts in my review, they will take it further (legal action) even though I have kept all documentation from them to verify my version of events. They do not like the truth being told and said that I bad mouthed them just for telling the truth. It is not bad mouthing when it is true. You got my money. Let it go!!
Worst real estate I have ever dealt with, ever! I unfortunately was in a property for 2 years, repairs were requested that were never done over the 18 months after the first inspection, an urgent repair took over 2 weeks while we breathed in deadly carbon monoxide. The place was a DUMP when I moved in and considering there was no shed, the rent was overpriced and they were going to increase it. Even after going to Consumer Affairs, they still refused to do maintenance that they were liable for such as servicing the heater and air conditioner. Told me just to clean the air conditioner and the heater had been serviced two years ago when I first moved in, so they would not be doing it again. The landlord then went into the property after I vacated, made a mess which I could prove was not made by me and tried to charge me cleaning expenses.
