Thank goodness for a good old traditional steak and bier (or in my case a deep red), Sometimes it's nice not to have Asian in the Cabramatta of the North Shore, a restaurant where the waiters don't shout at you and the customers understand the term 'dull roar.'

The Bavarian Bier Cafe offers some western escapism. The steak was perfectly cooked though weighed or not a little small to be honest. Sat outside on a nice May day and truly enjoyed the tranquility and western European feel to the establishment.

Above average food, even better ambiance for it's location in Chatswood.

Visited with work colleagues on a Friday evening. This place is nicely presented with some nice indoor and outdoor seating. On Willoughby Road the location is very convenient for people who live and/or work in St Leonards. Prices are fair and the selection of drinks is very good. The bathrooms was FOUL. The worst smell I've encountered in any bathroom anywhere. Don't know what was going on???

Excellent place to get some nosh and drinks at the same time. Be prepared to spend though, this place is not the cheapest restaurant. I like their European style decor, but I what I love the most is their litre beer menu... I can stay there all night.

Bavarian Bier Cafe at Crows Nest has a totally different atmosphere than the usual counterparts you all have grown to know. Rather than being the loud and party like theres no tomorrow type, this one appears more like a neighbourhood gem where locals flock and enjoy their beautiful beers with a little bit of quiet on the side.

We came here on a Friday night just before 10pm and it was fairly quite like a pub on a Monday morning. The restaurant is not as large the ones in Sydney CBD, but it is properly decorated and have all the atmosphere to get you mistaken for a family restaurant with a bar in the middle.

Luckily, the menu is the same. We had the usual pork knuckle and the sausage variety dish to share, and some mango beers for a light evening. The quality was consistent.

The staffs were friendly and attentive, and our food came quite quickly too. Certainly, if you want the food but dont want the crowd, then you have just found the place.
