Beacon Cove Pizza Restaurant & Bar

My friend and I were enjoying a cup of coffee and some quiet conversation when we we're interrupted by the unpleasant crackle of youtube advertisements blaring loud though tiny iPad speakers. The management opposite us was standing up at the table opposite us watching the iPad, apparently oblivious to the disturbance that management was causing. When I asked management if they had some headphones, they responded rudely. Unbelievable! Wow mate, that sure is a bad ego you've got there, but seriously, you can you put it away now, coz we're leaving. And we shall not return. And my advice to all cafe goers out there is to stop feeding such a management whose appalling manners are an embarrassment to the hospitality industry.

I was taken to Beacon Cove restaurant by a friend just last night. The food was amazing. So much too choose from, so no matter what you're mood is, you'll definitely find something on the menu....it's huge! Starters, pizza, mains, desserts, it's got something for everyone on there. I had the reef and beef and it was sensational, along with the incredible roasted veggies. The service was great, the decor is stunning too. The chandeliers are spectacular with the fabulous high ceilings. Lots of seating indoors and out, so great place for all seasons and with a view of the beach. It's right at the end where the tram stops in Port Melbourne so it's easy to get to if you don't want to drive. Will definitely go back to try more of the menu.

I had walked past this place from the tram on many occasions - but eventually ventured inside for dinner with a group of friends. And what a find! This may say it is a pizza restaurant, but I had one of the best beef wellingtons I have ever had... and at only $24 it was fantastic value. My friends that night were similarly impressed with their selections. The staff were also warm and welcoming. I have since been back for he pizza - which was of high quality. This is one of the best in the Port.

A new neighbourhood favourite. I always liked it for a Saturday morning outdoor coffee with the dog at my feet. But I only recently went inside for the full restaurant offering. Terrific value, great array of choices far beyond pizza, beautifully prepared fare, much better than you'd expect from a casual local eatery. Plus the service and atmosphere is far above what I'd expect for the price. (In fact better than most higher-priced places around here!)
