Velvet is located in the basement of the Beauchamp Hotel in Oxford Street and provides a decadent escape for more intimate nights out. Plush red velvet couches, red carpet, candles, dramatic artistic wallpaper and sandstone walls create ambience. Cocktails are key, along with an impressive list of rare spirits.

Any pub that adorns its walls with original artwork is certainly going to be something that will attract my attention, such as this one. Okay, we probably aren’t going to get anything of the likes of Monet or Renoir, but the thing is that this place opens its walls up to up and coming artists, which I think is really, really cool. Not to mention that this place has a nice beer garden and some good beers on tap, so honestly, what is there not to like.
