This listing is way too 0ld.
Beaufort House is now a clean uncluttered (and family friendly) B&B not the museum as shown in the pictures and narrative. The new owners have done wonders so far and continue to restore this beautiful old building and make it welcoming.
My previous review was based on NOW and nothing relating to the former owners or establishment.
I checked the weblink and phone and they too were incorrect!!
It should read: http://beaufort-adelong.com

True Local should ensure that their listings are up to date.... but dont let that stop you from enjoying the B&B and its cafe
Thanks for updating this listing. That's the Beaufort House I experienced and will go back to again in the future.
Came across this online last year and made a second visit to spend a couple of days on the Melbourne to Sydney drive.
It was great to see the restoration and improvements made by the new owners just in 6 months after what seemed like years of past neglect to this classic building..
Rooms were modestly furnished in keeping with the classic country B&B.
Very comfortable and welcoming and great value.
The Cafe was operating and the food freshly prepared with manageable sized servings and a good selection of options not to mention a very tempting array of house made cakes, scones and desserts.
Got to come back here again on my next journey to see the next set of improvements and the Winter Menu.
