I'm told it's a Victorian icon... and it lives up to the name. Friendly staff, bustling most times of the day.
Great selection of pies (ready to go and take away) as well as sweets and breads.
Had the beef and mushroom pie and it was buttery, flaky and delicious as it should be!
I am sorry to say but it's a "bit" overrated. The only good thing we had was the 96 hour soughdough. The pastries we got were no better than anywhere else I've been and the coffee was terrible. I can see this as a great place to stop over if you have a large group as there is a lot of table space and the ordering system can handle large crowds.
Very ordinary. I don't know why I came back. Ned Kelly Pie just egg and bacon on top of ordinary Pie with catchy name. Vanilla slice same as supermartket type with pink top. freind had a sausage roll which looked and tasted days old. No waiter service like coffee shops do. I knew this but this time I thought about the competition. The only thing good here is the Franchise concept. Nothing to look at here; keep walking 1/9
