Tip - don't go there less than hour from closing time! I hired a bike there 6 months ago, got there at 2.30pm on a Sunday, closing time is 3pm. The staff greeted me with a sigh, complained about having to turn back on the EFT terminal, telling me they only gets paid til 3 but now they would be late.
Today I returned it, & despite my plan to get there earlier, I arrived at the shop at 2.30 again, on a Sunday. Sure enough, same staff serves me, & asks me "So I closed the roller door too early then?". Far out! The staff wasn't rude or angry, just a whinger. Bike was fine, hire prices reasonable, but service leaves a bit to be desired.
After visiting 3 other stores, all of whom tried to pressure us into buying a treadmill significantly more expensive than our stated budget, Befit Hire Grote St advised us what we were considering was perfect for our needs and then pointed us to a second hand unit which cost less than half our allotted budget.
Unfortunately this unit started cutting out after about 30 minutes, but Befit Hire arranged a repairman to come out on a Saturday at no cost to us and repaired the treadmill on his first and only visit.
This was outstanding sales and after sales service and they were all a pleasure to deal with. I thoroughly recommend this store.
Almost every exercise machine and equipment that exist are available to hire here. If you know what you want, it pays to phone a few days before you want it to make sure they have one in stock. If you want to buy a machine you can 'hire with option to buy' which means you get a brand new machine. Then if you decide you like it you can keep it (just pay the extra) or you can bring it back with no problems.
