Beijing
The Beijing has a reputation for top-notch food with an upmarket, genteel feel. The restaurant is neatly divided in two: a front section and a back area, with cream walls, floral wallpaper, Chinese lanterns and soft music playing. Several tables have lazy susans for easy access to food. Beijing has kept its focus firmly on northern Chinese and Szechuan cuisine. Beijing has the sense of serenity that allows you to relax and enjoy the moment as well as the cooking.

The food at this restaurant is above average quality and price reasonable- but the service leaves much to be desired. Dishes are varied yet consistently tasty. Our four-person banquet did however take three-and-a-half hours for us to work our way through. The table service was clumsy and inattentive, with painfully long waits between courses. The atmosphere was compensation though, perfect for conversation with more space between tables than usual improving the experience.
Went to Beijing restaurant for a friends birthday, we arrived at 8pm......we ordered quite promptly, despite the restaurant not being overly busy we were kept waiting for our food past 10 pm, we had 10 people in our group , each meal was bought out one at a time instead of largely together - this meant some people had finished eating before others recieved their meals, some people at our table didn't even recieve their meals at all!! they were packing up the restaurant for the night while some people on our table were stiill waiting for food. The food was not very good and DEFINATLEY not worth the wait!!!! I doubt anyone from our group would ever return, especially when you can get good chinese food on nearby Gouger street for a fraction of the cost and wait!
