I really have nothing positive to say about Bell and Brunt. I took my ring here for an appraisal and resize after a recommendation from a friend. I'm not sure where to start as the whole experience was disappointing.
Customer service was poor right from the start with staff paying little interest or attention. The staff member provided no assistance as I tried on the different ring sizes and were unable to find batteries for a torch to check the ring. Bell & Brunt has been serving its patrons for over 101 years and as a family business in South Australia takes care of their patrons. The customer service staff is friendly and takes personal care in every customer. B&B understands that investing in a jewellery is an emotional experience. Over the last few years, new systems and staff have come to ensure that every person who walks into the studio is attended with care.
There is a proper retail management system in place where every job is stored. Also, as a policy, the jewellery consultants call the customer for every little query with respect to their jewellery piece. At the completion of job, an email and a phone call is sent to the customer.
If I could select a negative score I definitely would. PLEASE DO NOT BUY AN ENGAGEMENT RING FROM HERE! I came to this place on the day of my special engagement expecting them to at least say congratulations or have a smile, but instead gave me a ring that didn't fit and apparently couldn't be fixed. My partner spent alot on a special token of his love, and instead we were given a token that could not even be worn! They could not understand why I simply wouldn't be happy with a ring that I couldn't wear.....?!?! I don't even have the words to describe my extreme and utter disappointment and now only remember the disgusting experience I had in store that made me even cry on what should have been the most special day of my life. I will never forget or forgive the way I was treated in store.

Service seemed great but took my engagement ring back to be resized and the staff said they usually charge but would do for free and another staff came over and said no that'll be $50 so i paid it and said i'd pick it up in a week as i'm other end of town and parking was an absolute pain! Come 4 days later i called as was passing thru to see if could get it and it hadnt been started. The following day i got a call to say they'd not written down my size so were just going to guess for now. Went in to pick it up and ring was in plastic bag in envelope, and band had been thinned out even tho they swore it hadnt been and realised once i left im missing a diamond! So now yet another trip to town with parking and etc to get that fixed.
Sorry to hear that you've had a bad experience. Bell & Brunt has revised its policies and hired friendly staff members to take special care that none of the customers faces any trouble. B&B also offers delivery services so that customers don't have to face any issues anymore. All the jobs are properly listed into a retail management system to ensure that no mismanagement takes place.
