I was pre warned about going cheap cheap and I guess I deserved this one. Driving up from the Gold Coast on a long weekend Friday during peak time meant that we were going to arrive after the reception office had already closed. It was 7pm so navigating our way to the office in the dark was quite a task. Finally got our room key and looking for the self contained apartment. There wasn't any signs directing guests. When we first stepped into the apartment, my immediate thought was "oh, my god". The place was definitely built back in the 80s or so. The 2 bedrooms had that old odour and the bathroom looked outdated but still completely functional. Even though its a fully self contained apartment, we treated more like a hotel room as we were out for most of the day and only used the place to sleep.
