We have dined at Belvedere many times over the past few years and whilst the food has always been ok the service has always been lacking. Tonight was no different, except the food wasn't particularly great either this time. They were clearly understaffed as one person was trying to juggle seating dine-in patrons, taking orders, attending to take away customers and processing bills and he was not coping at all. We were never asked if we would like drinks and only got some as we asked for them when our main meals were delivered. When taking our order, the staff member read back the wrong sauce on one of the pasta dishes we ordered. We corrected him and he made note on his order pad but when the dish arrived it still had the wrong sauce. When we raised this with the staff member he was quite rude and defensive and implied that it was actually us who had made a mistake reading the menu. When it became clear he was not going to offer to rectify his ...read more
The best restaurant I have ever been to, not to mention I've been there a million times!! The menu has a MASSIVE variety and the meals are humongous! The price is dear for an average restaurant but cheaper for it's value then anywhere else on the mountain. The waitresses are absolutely gorgeous, they are friendly and have a lot of recommendations, AND THEY'RE HONEST. Gnocchi and lasagne are completely home made, and not to mention that they roll out the pizza bases in front of you, completely fresh. Belvedere's is such a magnificent place and I doubt anyone could ever have a bad experience there!
This is one of the worst places I have been to. Walked in and was not greeted. Had to pick my own seat. The seats where very close to each other not allowing privacy. Ended up sitting outside where there was a swarm of insects. Not one bug zapper or citronella candle around. Ordered the Pumpkin soup. That was nice but nothing you wouldn't get out of a tin. Then ordered the chicken parmigiana with chips no salad for dinner. For my drink I asked for a Muggachino (cuppachino in a mug) The wait staff had no idea what I was ordering when it was clearly on their menu. So to reduce confusion on their behalf I ordered a Cuppachino. When the chicken parmigiana came to the table I dont know what it was. It was a crumbed chicken breast with avocado and garlic sauce. To make matters worse was my plate had salad on it after i asked for no salad. When I complained the staff didnt understand me. In the menu they gave me chicken parmigiana is $18 they charged me ...read more
The Chicken Parmigiana is a chicken breast that comes with a creamy garlic avocado sauce and is $25.5. It is $18 on the lunch menu, which it states clearly in the menu if you had of read it properly.
Never disappointed by this restaurant - tasty meals and great, efficient service. Beware however, the meals are massive and hence are certainly value for money. This family-run restaurant had a friendly and relaxed atmosphere and is a great choice if your looking for some delicious casual dining.
