Belvideres Bar & Bistro

Popped up to the Bistro on Saturday night for a quiet meal with my girl & we were so pleasantly surprised by the entire experience. The restaurant felt warm & cosy; smelled like grandma was doing the cooking in the kitchen; the food was absoutely spot-on (big serves of beautiful homestyle winter food); the service was very friendly & the wait times between courses were minimal (especially considering the restaurant was quite busy). Our shared entree was good & inexpensive ($13.50) & the main meals were mighty impressive - my pork belly ($27) was just perfect (including 2 big chunks of pork crackle) & my partner's medalions of stuffed chicken breast ($28) were tender, tasty & wonderful. We just managed to fit in cheesecake for desert (choc-caramel for me and raspberry & passionfruit for her) & we were rolling home feeling VERY satisfied all done & dusted well within an hour & a half.
