Benjamin On Franklin Hotel

The Benjamin on Franklin has a lovely atmosphere, great staff and great beverage selection but unfortunately on this occasion the food was disappointing. Meals were overcooked and there was a general feeling of lack of care from the kitchen. Hopefully this was just an off night.

I've never been to this place before and I have to say that it is a pretty classy establishment. Okay, it's your basic pub (complete with a gaming room) but it tends to fall at the classy end of the spectrum. They have a small assortment of craft beers on tap, though they tend to be more South Australian offerings than the standard Little Creatures/Fat Yak that you tend to find in the Eastern States (which is a good thing since I've started to become less inclined to purchase the tried and true varieties). The dining areas are really nice, more like a fancy dining room than a standard pub. The outdoor area out the back is really nice as well, though they also have seating on the pavement (the beer garden is more of a dining area).

wow! some of the most consistent food and menu i have tried in this state. The presentation is awesome. great beer garden, beer and wine list. Cocktails are yummy to!

I was in charge of organizing a staff work dinner again and decided to call up Benjamin on Franklin again to see if they can work something out for us and also because everyone seemed to enjoy it the previous time. Benjamin on Franklin catered to us very well in the spelling room with the table nicely set up to fit all of us in nicely. Again everyone was very pleased with the location, service, food, menu and ambiance. Heard plenty of positive comments of the place from my workmates. I think it's safe to say Benjamin on Franklin is definitely a Hit!

The last time I came to the Benji was for my bday/engagement party in one of the upstairs private rooms. I haven't actually had a sit down meal here before. I was looking for a place to have a casual dinner after work do with my work mates and we were looking for something with a bit of privacy enough to fit all 12 of us. I recalled the Benji had a couple of areas so called up and was told of the Atrium - perfect. None of my workmates had been before and they really liked my choice in venue for location, atmosphere and food. It was a hit! Will definitely come back here and also recommend it. Great food and the service was fantastic too!
