Beppi's Restaurant
Beppi opened his restaurant in 1956 and has been serving traditional Italian cuisine ever since. So dedicated to sourcing the right ingredients he used to harvest his own oysters from Sydney harbour before he was able to buy them. This restaurant is located in the heart of Sydney's Little Italy and oozes old world charm.

I have never had authetic italian food like this before. The food is cataclysmically delicious. I highly recommend getting the seafood here. It's cooked to perfection that even a seafood sceptic, like myself, will enter some otherworldly state of foodgasm. For dessert make sure to get the Gelato platter. It is utterly refreshing.
The ambience at Beppi's is divine, especially in the cellar rooms. Those cellar rooms feel so transcendent, that you can practically feel the Italian Vinyards.
I highly recommend going to Beppi's, but just make sure to be starving. The food portions are large and filling.
Oh this place is still doing it very well, even though Beppi himself passed away recently. The place oozes old style charm and sophistication. The wine list is classy and the sommelier does a good job choosing these things. Food is fool proof gorgeous , always tasty, fab antipasti and top quality meat and fish. Not cheap but that is ok, this is special occasion
dining.
Beppi is definitely one of a few restaurants that will grow in your heart. They excel in every aspect of high quality dining and this is not an overstatement.
Their small-ish restaurant might seem quite normal at the front, but if you are lucky to be seated at the back area of the restaurants, you will be in for a treat. It was a cellar turned into dining rooms and you will be surrounded with wall racks filled with bottles of wines, vintage and modern, dating as early as the 50s with prices up to $2800 per ...read more
