Bergerac Restaurant

I was at first somewhat skeptical as I was told that it was French cuisine and when I reached the front there was no ambiguity about it being a French restaurant as 'French Restaurant' was clearly indicated on the front - I didn't think it was necessary to spell it out. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the quaint decor and really friendly and attentive service. I had the escargot for entree and the baguette was fresh and warm the rib eye was a really generous portion and the potatoes were super crispy and well done. If you book beforehand they do 2 courses for $28 which is a great deal. I wouldn't rate this as a notable Melbourne establishment but good place to go for a large feed!

I highly enjoyed my meal at Bergerac Restaurant. The prices were very reasonable and the food was great. It was a very relaxing meal, and the waiter suggested the perfect wine to go with our dishes. I would definitely eat here again.

French cuisine in quaint surroundings. Reasonably priced, good quality food and service.
