What a surprising delight. The shop is a little obscure, and not obvious from the street, but through the front door is a treasure trove of wines for every taste and budget.
Big open plan shop with friendly, helpful staff who really seem to know what their talking about. And the best news is they don't have even a whiff of pretentiousness. Phew, what a relief.
I've bought $10 quaffing bottles when you're drinking for effect rather than pleasure - right up to special occasion or bottles to keep. And really, there is no judgement or favouritism on either type of purchase from the staff. Just good service.
The owner also services a lot of corporate orders I'm told as well. So, if you're a buyer for work functions, this could be the place to get help from.
It's a little further for me to get to than my local bottle shop, but, really, it's worth the effort - and I do recommend them without reservation.
I see Bradleylocos review is dated from 2011, sadly this business has changed an awful lot since then, with the emphasis on awful. As a local I have visited this shop many times over the years, but no longer. The staff used to be friendly and unpretentious , always happy to talk wine and suggest new things, nowadays you are lucky to get a hello out of the staff, after being ignored on my last visit and not even invited to taste the wines which I had assumed were for customers to sample ( and then possibly buy) I have taken my dollars elsewhere.
Hey Woodsy58 I know this post is a little bit old but thought to reply anyway. Apologies you had a poor experience with the store back then - things have changed a lot here! If you are still around the area please drop by and ask for me (Aaron) and I'll be happy to look after you.
Cheers!
