Lance the mechanic there is great. Nothing is too much trouble and he goes that extra step of helping Customers and can diagnose problems without spending a lot of labour doing so. The place has new owners but as long as Lance is there I'll still be taking my car there as he does not rip people off, is accurate and goes the extra mile for his Customers.
I rate better Better Torque Automotive negative 10 stars and heres why: Better Torque had our car in to replace a head gasket which we paid $1400. They had the car for over SEVEN months because in the process of replacing the head gasket, from careless work, they caused several other problems to the car that were not originally there, using the excuse that it was because it was a diesel and they had never worked on one before (which they failed to tell me in the beginning before they basically ruined the car). The day I spoke with consumer affairs they sent the car back to us with the head gasket fixed but with the following problems that were not there when we gave it to them: The car violently shakes, the check engine light will not go off, when you touch the accelerator the revs go past the red area on the dashboard and the turbo no longer works in the car. We put the car in for a head gasket repair and after a few weeks they said it was a blocked radiator and charged $400. When we got the car back it kept over heating really bad and breaking down still so we sent it back to them. Then they said it was the head gasket after all but now it has three cracks in it and needs to be completely replaced. Long story short they had trouble fixing and had the car in the shop for over 6 months. In which time the cars registration expired, when the car was finally repaired I asked them if I could get a RWC as I would need one to re-register the car and they just said no.
