Bev & Mick's Turf Club Hotel

This pub has been around for years. They have a good selection of local and international brews and tap and they do a pretty mean Parma. The service here is friendly and the vibe is buzzy on a Saturday night.

All I can say is that this is one awesome bar. Okay, it is actually a bar that is connected to a backpackers hostel so expect so see an awful lot of backpackers down here, and the crowd does tend to be quite young, but then that has never put me off the place. It is also really easy to get to with a number of trams regularly passing by and a short walk from the city. However the thing that I really like about this place is the huge beer garden, which means that you are generally guaranteed to find yourself a table here, even if you are, like me, simply looking for a quiet place to have a drink. Mind you, the place is far from quiet, but then again that has never put me off either. It certainly is one of those places that I would find myself walking into again if I were in the area.
