By far the most unprofessional service I have used In FNQ. At my first appointment I was asked if I'd like a up front discounted rate to have my returns lodged immediately which I thought was great. Two days later myGov was still showing my returns had not been lodged so I questioned the process and was told it had been sent off to be lodged. As it turns out the people doing the returns are not registered tax agents which I was not informed of. After many unanswered calls and messages and no one getting back to me I went to the office in person where the blame was shifted between the 3 branches . On the 8th day I'd had enough and demanded a refund as they had not fulfilled their obligation. I finally received a call from someone who I hadn't previously spoken to saying sorry we are unable to do your returns and will refund my initial payment. 8 days sitting in idle and had not even lodged my returns with the ATO. After years of having my tax done by accountants that were more interested in making sure that the ATO kept the majority of the tax that I paid, my partner and I decided to try BFL Tax. We were really pleased with our returns and haven't looked any where else since. We are both managers and have recommended to our large staff base that if they want a Tax Agent that will work FOR and not AGAINST you, to see the lovely ladies and gents at BFL Tax. This is our 7th year having our returns done by Jodi (we have stalked her to whatever office she has been located at, she is amazing!! :-) ). We have never bothered to pay for express returns as the most we have ever waited for our funds is 11 straight days (attending appointment to funds in the bank). Won't ever bother looking/trying elsewhere - these guys and girls go out of their way to look after their customers and we greatly appreciate their hard work!

hello jodi we spoke today after this was posted(my name is Gavin),,but i had a similar issue myself last year when my return was sent back to the smithfield office because of an error in the lodgement,for clarification and it sat on the desk at Smithfield for 3 weeks until i went into the office to find out hwere my return was,,,during that three weeks NO ONE contacted me to confirm the neccessary info,hence why i personally no longer use your services

As I mentioned on the phone we appreciate any feedback we get from our clients. This new issue from last year is not something that was mentioned in our phone call yesterday, which is disappointing. I would have been happy to discuss this issue at the time and not 12 months later.
We lodge thousands of returns in the four month tax season, most of those being return clients each year. I do try to personally deal with each and every client issue that comes up. I am sure you can understand working in conjunction with Australian Tax office, they also count on us to sort any problems they may have with information from our clients, which we do to the best of our ability. As with this years issue that was a result of not having all of the paperwork when lodged.
As i Mentioned on the phone,,ALL 5 payment summaries were presented (in paper form) to the BFL representative,and were even listed on the pre-filling report that was supplied to my daughter,if your worker only put in that which appeared on auto-fill from the Tax Office portal,when submitting the Return,then any reasonable person can only assume that they were lazy or not paying attention!!!!!
