Really disappointed in my experience at Biba. I sat politely for almost 6 hours, the student who did my hair was lovely but the girl who did my cut was really cold and blunt with me. Cost me $130 which id much rather pay an extra $50-$70 and get it done professionally in 2.5 hours. To make matters worse I brought my friend in with me. She wasn't seen for over an hour, she was so upset she ended up leaving.
Having a teacher reprimand a student in front of me made this am incredibly uncomfortable experience. I felt so sorry for the person and 'teaching salon' or not, people deserve to be talked to with respect. I was too nervous to bring up any issues with concern that it would see my hairdresser publicly shamed again. The student was lovely and doing a great job, they were absolutely dreadful, they need to learn about tact and how to deal with issues with their students in a constructive, or at least private, way.
Worst haircut I have ever had! I was holding back tears, I asked for a trim and I left with a short bob above my shoulders. I am heading away to Europe for my O.E and i will be stuck with this haircut, i feel depressed looking into the mirror, I use to like my appearance, it is heart breaking that it can happen so quickly. Poor tutors, unprofessional students, i think i might have been their first client. I understand they are learning and the small price to pay is a reflection of that but listening to a client instructions is paramount. I know now good hair is priceless.
Thanks for an amazing service, will be recommending you guys to friends as I was not disappointed by the time taken to get this done! I had my hair coloured back to its original colour from bright blonde to dark brown. Not an easy job but I felt confident that I was in good hands!
