Bicaro's Ristorante Bar & Forno

A bustling restaurant in the city centre, Bicaros is an Italian restaurant promoting home-style cooking in the small town of Shepparton. Generally a good meal, there is lots to choose from and the menu is often updated. Popular with the locals, it's important to book in advance as the casual Friday night drop-in won't always work in your favour. While I've been happy with the food more often than not, I can't say it's consistently good and have occasionally have landed an average meal. Servings are generous; the decor is nice ,and the outdoor eating area is fantastic during summer. Upstairs is also a popular function destination with many of the younger set choosing to celebrate their birthdays. Highly recommend the homemade nougat, which is made by the owner's mother herself - oftenserved with the coffee so be sure to try some!

This restaurant has potential with a warm atmosphere and interesting menu. But it is let down by tastless food and very slow service.
