Fruits & Vegetables
Big Fields Fruit and Veg
Brimbank Shopping Centew, Station Rd
Deer Park, VIC, 3023
I was here again the other day to pick up some meat. What I like about their butchery is the fact it doesnt require huge ticket sales like Coles/Woolies outlining savings $10+ or more, when in fact their prices are already low and the meat are fresh. The Meat here are Halal, it's seperate owner from the grocery section. I picked up some lamb cutlet for only $26 kilo which are their regular prices, the people who work here are always friendly. From the grocery side, I find it sort of hit & miss with with veggies, not always as fresh and the prices are either equally the same as the large supermarket.
I usually go to the big fields in sunshine because the have very competitive prices for their vegetables and and also the deli has a few good cheeses and also the meat shop. So, because I was in the shopping centre, I went to get my groceries from the shop. I felt a bit disappointed. The prices seemed to be more expensive than the other shop. Also, I wen to check the cheeses from the fridge and one cheese that I bought last week at one IGA for $8, it was $11 in this shop, and other products also a lot pricier than other shops where I buy. It must be because they have to pay night rent In this shopping centre? Well, I guess I won't be coming back soon here.
I do my grocery shopping here at Big Fields Deer Park every weekend. I find the fruits and veggies here fresh and cheaper than other markets. Not only do they sell fresh fruit and veggies, they also have in the back area other groceries stuff like pasta, canned food, eggs, deli meat and also a butcher. Its always busy which just makes a fair bit of traffic inside but it means a lot of people are there for cheap and good produce and the checkout service is always quick as they have many staff working so you don't have to wait long when paying.
