Out of all the BIG W stores I have visited in Australia, this Big W at Westfield Miranda is probably the most depressed one to date. Even though the store occupies quite a large space, the atmosphere is very lacking.
The lights are not as bright as I have grown accustomed too. The yellowish ambiance makes it feel like a more air-tight store with less aisle room and I was visiting during a less busy period. The layout seems like the stores back in the 80s, and the further back to the store you travel, the more surreal it feels.
Atmosphere aside, the store actually features quite a good range of products, some of the brands I have not even seen at other stores. The clean and clear organisation of items makes it very easy to browse for products. I did not see any staffs around the store, but the staff manning the entry was quite friendly
