Love browsing the aisles especially the kids clothes section. I found a pair of baby tights for $5. Their full price items aren't much more either but their clothes are on trend and have nice designs.
They recently did a Peter morrisey collaboration and lots of that collection for kids is on sale. I got a top and pant set for $15.
They also stock kardashian kids if you are interested in glittery gold and white styled clothes for your baby.
I do like Big W. They have a great range and offer competitive prices. However often when I go there the shelves are out of stock (has happened on 3 occasions in 2 different departments- stationary and kitchen supplies). I once asked if a staff member could check out the back and the staff never returned, I think I waited 10 mins before giving up. However the check out staff are always lovely.
I can't quite explain why, but I love browsing through Big W and I always seem to walk out with a thing or two. It's never anything exciting, usually just toilet paper or contact lens solution. I love the big aisles at the Top Ryde store and the lines clear pretty quickly even when they are busy. I also recently discovered that they sell cookbooks (and I suppose all books) a lot cheaper than Myer and David Jones.
I have recently discovered my love for household items and bulk goods- Big W is great!
From bulk Napisan, to stacks of toilet paper, Fluffy Softener in the litres to storage containers and bulk Finish Dishwashing tablets. I really enjoy meandering around to see what is on special or is newly available. They also sell great packs of Pyrex and Corelle.
For anyone starting to set up their home or for those trying to save money by buying in bulk- this place is a dream. They also sell pretty good 1000 thread count bed sheets for around $90.
