BIG4 St Helens Holiday Park is a caravan and cabin park on Tasmania’s northeast coast which offers self-contained, standard or budget en suite cabins. There are also two-bedroom family villa units accommodating up to six guests, deluxe cabins for four guests and cosy villa units for two. For campers there are 63 serviced sites and 39 unpowered sites. A further six en suite sites are suitable for caravans, motor homes or tents. The park has bathroom and laundry facilities, a well-equipped camp kitchen and barbecue area. There is a games room, children’s playground with new jumping pillow and small kiosk with internet access. Children’s activities are held in the camp kitchen in January and Easter time. Guests can also enjoy a celebratory barbecue on New Year's Eve and Easter Sunday.You can experience Tasmania’s mild east coast climate as you explore the coast near St Helens. What a great park!
We just spent a week at the BIG4 in St Helens and it really was a great place to stay.
They had new managers Tim & Vicky who had only just started when we got there and they were so friendly, always stopping for a chat when we bumped into them.
There was a young man named Jarrod in reception when we arrived who had a wealth of local knowledge, we had only booked for 2 nights but ended up staying for 8 as there was so much to do in the area.
The cleanest amenities I have seen which is a real credit to the park, also the best Camp Kitchen I have ever seen.
We will absolutely be back to see how the family of native hens have grown.

This is by far the worst place that I have ever camped in Australia. The staff was rude and unhelpful and only seemed interested in forcing me to pay for three sites instead of two just because the group I was travelling and camping with had three cars. I might add that I phoned beforehand to book our places but because I wanted unpowered sites, I was told that they have "acres" of space and that I don't have to book in or be concerned about anything. In spite of explaining that the third car's occupants are a mother with two small children, they were forced to park outside and walk up to the site - and that is the highest place in the camp. They also make you pay for all children from two years up. The unpowered sites are only $2 less expensive than the powered ones but not only are they unpowered, there are also no taps.
