The first time I visited this pub I have to say that I wasn't all that impressed – at all. However I decided to give it another go, simply because I happened to be in the area and I thought that it probably wouldn't hurt to grab another beer before heading back into the city. Anyway, it did feel a bit better this time, but a part of me feels that maybe it was because that had done the place up a bit and given in a bit more character. Last time I was here it was a fairly grungy place (which is surprising considering its location). However it new felt a lot more relaxed, and it was a fairly quite pub as well. However, I really can't sing its praises because, despite having a bit of a make over, it still isn't a pub that I'm going to rush out and visit anytime soon.
