Bin 12
Wine, cocktails, bar food.
Open every night for dinner and drinks from 5 pm till late. An informal, relaxed venue serving high quality bar food with a boutique wine list and great cocktails.
Omg on the advice of my fellow reviewers I ventured my tastebuds to try Bin 12 and I am totally hooked on the karaage chicken (nom nom nom). The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting and the prices very reasonable. Will definitely be showcasing this little gem to out of town friends and family.
I know I've written a rave review for Bin 12 about a year & a half ago, and I'm still raving about this place. I just really wanted to give a shout out to Mitch who works here for his five star, non-stop, amazing service last time I went. We sat at the bar, and no joke, Mitch did not stop once the whole time we were there & can multitask like a mother with triplets! He didn't miss a beat. He took food & drink orders, whilst making drinks, cocktails & pouring wine and finalizing payments for others. And Tuesday night Taco's are still the bomb! :)
Am now joining the ranks of the raving converts to Bin 12. Experienced my first Tuesday Happy Hour here and love the $5 drinks and $5 tacos.
Just had to try each one, and whether you choose the pulled pork, chicken karaage or the pork belly - they're all amazing!
Staff provide great and attentive service at fantastic prices.
Another gem in the up and coming lifestyle and caf precinct I'm sure James Street will end up as.
I can't stop raving about Bin 12 & telling all my friends how great it is! I had heard about this wine bar from a friend, so hubby & I wandered in on a Tuesday just after 5pm. We were greeted by a lovely girl, who told us it was Happy Hour til 6pm. There was a big paper roll hanging from the wall with the specials written on it. Coopers Pale Ale, Ataahua Sauv Blanc, Angus Brut sparkling and Bolla Merlot, all $5.00 each. Soft tacos are served at $5.00 each also during happy hour. We started with the soft shell crab taco with avocado, pickled cucumber & wasabi mayo, a Japanese chicken karaage taco, and pulled pork taco. They were all amazing, but in particular the chicken karaage. We ordered three more of that one. At about five minutes to six, one of the girls came around to all the tables to see if we wanted to order anything more before happy hour ended. How awesome is that! It's rare to get such great service on the GC. Between us, we'd ordered 5 glasses of ...read more
