Overall, this place is pretty cool for a drink and they seem to have a huge range of beers for the enthusiasts out there.
My main problem with this place is that a few friends and I decided to sit ourselves on some sofas in the bar and it was riddled with HUGE giagantic cockroaches! One even crawled up my leg!!
Now, the name is a clever reference to beer and the culture surrounded beer and using to chillax. ("bitter" as in beer and "phew" as in relief, a clever play on words on a phrase that i think means "last ones" or "leftovers", not sure positive on the phrase but i know it's an old phrase)
NOW! My favorite part about bars is the decor and Bitter Phew has very nice innards. You start by walking up a thin flight of stairs, welcomed by beautifully painted walls. At the moment, there is a soft-street art style Hindi influenced elephant on a black backdrop which is really cool.
