I recently was in the market for a new car. I went to the brand dealer of the car I had and was not treated very well - I was dismissed because I didn't want the offer they made me for my car (ridiculous offer) and they wouldn't listen to what I wanted, kept offering me an auto when I wanted a manual. I left there feeling quite despondent, drove a kilometre or so towards my home and saw Blackburn Nissan by chance. I stopped in and found John Genovese - he was marvellous. He was polite and respectful, he listened to me, acknowledged and responded to what I wanted and treated me with respect. I found a car that very same day, went for a test drive, loved it and the deal was done, there and then. He made me a much better offer for my car, I loved the new one and they were happy to customise it how I wanted. It was easy and everything went smoothly. John was honest with me, clear on all the procedures and documentation and he was actually interested in me as ...read more
Don't care once they sell car. Really bad service. Bought ex demo Nissan Maxima 2012, they said they would clean certain marks but did not do. Drove half way back to place we were staying, they didn't clean engine, dirt and flies, so had to drive back. Knew I was from interstate so they knew once I left I wouldn't be back. Sold damaged car so had to claim warranty. Finally they held on to deposit for four weeks after full amount paid. Had to keep chasing it up. Will not return.
Quite simply terrible. I have never had so much trouble with a mechanic in the 11 years I've been driving. They look to get the car in and out as fast as they can while overlooking the most elementary problems, even when advised of them. I was happy to pay a premium to get my car serviced at Nissan because I thought they would do an excellent job as they should know the cars inside out. This is a misconception. The mechanics there aren't very good at all and the procedures seem to fail them. If you want a better Nissan service go to other mechanic or just ask people for recommendations.
There were a couple of good points: The use of a courtasy car and they fixed something simple without charging but there were so many bad points to the point of rediculousness. The coustomer service was mostly terrible, it took two emails and over a week to respond when I told them that they didn't fix my car, though they guys in the office were polite, they were mostly in a rush and ultimately unhelpful. They missed simple things even when pointed out ie. Brake light out and flashing light for a problem with the airbag. They got me to replace a key the second time I went in, after they didn't fix the problem of my car not starting properly on my first visit. It turned out to be the battery which wasn't even picked up in either of the two visits.
In short, I believe they make use of under qualified mechanics and charge top rate.
