Blacklocks Motor Cycles

Having recently purchased a second-hand motorcycle (unseen, other than the photos and video they sent) from Blacklocks Motorcycles in Lavington and having it shipped inter-state to WA, it was with surprise that, having tried to get it registered, it failed the inspection. It failed because it had cracks in the tyre walls and the inspector said it was not roadworthy and should not have been sold in this condition. The only way for it to pass was to buy new tyres, which I did, and it subsequently passed.
Unfortunately, when I asked Blaklocks to contribute to the cost of a re-inspection and new tyres, they refused, stating that I did not have any warranty, even though the salesman selling the motorcycle assured me I had a 3-month warranty period. My mistake was not obtaining the warranty in writing.
So, if anyone buys a second-hand motorcycle from these people, ENSURE you obtain the warranty before riding off, otherwise they will not honour their commitment to you.
