Viet Nouveau is French-influenced Vietnamese food, and has been a staple in Mosman for a while now. Within it’s relaxed, tropical/colonial feel, you’ll enjoy dishes like fish cakes with dill, chilli and mint; lemon and lime juice papaya salad with sweet, fresh mud crab; pork and prawn stuffed tomatoes with Vietnamese tomato basil sauce; and marinated chicken wrapped in banana leaf served with fried taro chips.

I've never had experienced such an exceptionally great service from a local restaurant the way I experienced it at Blackstone. They were all very friendly and attentive whilst still allowing us to freely enjoy the low-key food offerings and the family-friendly atmosphere. I agree that they might need to employ more staff but that didn't stop them from giving the best possible service.
Food wise, the dishes were regular in terms of presentation and taste, but served on quite a generous portions which I believe matched the price. You can pretty much find all the classics such as meat lovers pizza, or if you are in the mood for a twist, there are things like chicken teriyaki pizza which was not too over the top but was unique enough to introduce new taste to the palate.
Some of the food here is very tasty, such as the spring rolls and pancakes, but some is very ordinary, and the small portions are not worth the prices charged. The service is attentive if it is a quiet night, however I think they need to hire more staff when it is busy, as we were left waiting 45 minutes for our meal one night.
