The role of the lactation consultant - to support mothers and babies while they transition from intra utero to extra utero nutrition at mothers breasts while developing a unique intimate relationship.
Breastfeeding should be a pleasurable experience, and the mother should never feel any pain, ever. Pain is an indication that something is no quite right.
As a Lactation Consultant I am is passionate about helping new mothers to breastfeed their baby. I have extensive experience with many of the common challenges with breastfeeding, with a special interest in tongue tied infants and multiple birth infants.
