After making a purchase here that was not suitable I returned to get a refund. I was then told I couldn't have a refund only a credit note. This was not printed on their receipt anywhere, but was printed on the counter as you paid (which clearly was not pointed out to me by the sales person & I had not seen!) I live on the opposite side of town, have 2 small children & work full time making it difficult for me to get back in there & spend it! I had out it in my purse & forgotten! I cleaned out my purse & found it & it had expired by a week, I called to see if I came in on that day if I could spend it & was told they don't extend them so it couldn't be spent! I will never step hm foot inside this store again let alone make a purchase!! Very disappointed & having been in customer service for 15 plus years I can tell you it's not a good way to get repeat business!!
I LOVE shopping at this gift shop....the staff are extremely helpful and very welcoming and friendly. The range of gifts is fantastic and very well priced...i have bought so many gifts from this shop for my loved ones and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone needing a special gift!
Do not ever put on a layby in this shop...even for a week, and even if you just want to just change what you bought. They take your money. I wanted to take my lousy $20 deposit and put it onto something more suitable and they refused to do this. After spending a huge amount of money in this store...this is very bad business!! Bad bad bad!! Policy is to take 20% of the value of the item! I didn't want my money back, just change the item. Buyer beware.
I have worked in retail before and the amount of people who forget lay-bys , don't make payments and then want to cancel after months when the stock is now old is so frustrating, there are lay by rules for a reason. I have always had a great shopping experience in this shop.
