Blue Diamond

This place can be a little tricky to find, but that has something to do with it being located on the fifteen floor of a building and you have to go into the foyer to actually get to it. However, the location is what makes this place cool because you do get some awesome views. However, I found the patronage at this place to be somewhat not all that welcoming. The bar staff were cool, but the rest were, well, of the opinion that only a certain class of people should really be coming here. Still, great views from the balcony.

When you're wallet is feeling full and money for the night is not a concern, this bar is a terrific treat. It lives at the top of a high rise building and you're greeted with panoramic views of Melbourne city lights. Cosy, classy and with a self-serve (and free!) cloak room- it's worth visiting just for the atmosphere.



Well chosen, quality live bands got us grooving and the cocktail list is extensive and expensive BUT with the many cocktails we sampled, those bartenders proved they knew their drinks. They are terrifically friendly too which helps somewhat when you part with a $50 and get shrapnel in return. So pay away to be blown away!

In my opinion, this bar is great for dolling up, its music and ambiance and wonderful for a few drinks- but avoid big ones here unless you don't plan on providing food on the table until your next paycheck.
