Blue Mountains Botanic Garden Mount Tomah
Beautiful place to visit. We visited these Botanic gardens in June, so they weren't in full bloom and it was quite cold (bring really warm clothing in winter as it's much colder in the mountains). It was still a beautiful park.
Kept in a great condition and lots of places to explore with signs around explaining the history, flora and fauna. Would be wonderful for a picnic in warmer times.
On a trip from Sydney to Lithgow we noticed a an entrance to the Royal Botanc Garden's property at Mount Tomah on the Bell's Line of Road. What a gem. It is a vast, remote property, beautifully constructed and concentrating on cool climate plants. A full day was spent strolling around the property and lunching at the centrally located Restaurant Tomah, overlooking the breathtaking vista beyond the mountains to the north-west. All in all a perfect, inexpensive day, well spent.
