My main concern over this franchise is that any contract signed requires an additional month of commitment. For example, a 6 month contract, is actually a 7 month contract. A 12 month contract is actually a 13 month contract. In addition, signing a fortnightly direct debit will automatically force you to pay for an extra two weeks. Thus, a 6 month contract with fortnightly direct debit is actually a 7 month and two weeks contract.
The staff will introduce this to you as a "12 or 6 month contract, where cancellation requires informing the gym prior to doing so". They will not tell you that you that you are in fact signing a 13 month contract. Frankly, I find this practice very dishonest and shocking. HORRIBLE.
Take my advice and DO NOT JOIN. The staff and management are terrible. They only care about getting you locked in a contract and will throw you away afterwards. The equipment is disgusting and old, same with the classes which are scarce in numbers and the child minding hours are ridiculous. The whole environment is old and needs an updating. Not worth your money so do not even think about joining ladies!
Please go down the road to fitness plus, almost same rates (slightly higher) and no lock in contracts!!

Trying really hard to get ladies to join, Because they know how bad they Really are, you,ll see they don't care about you once you join, because its a contract .Its guaranteed money in there pockets... Once you sign it and join up. its all down hill from there... :D

I have just read this thread because I am considering going to the tribunal. The shower ceiling was practically falling off and even though i cancelled the membership, they ignored it and now have sent me to a debt collector! I told them the first day i started using the gym!
I am considering going to the tribunal to get some justice!
Me and my kids have been members for a year now and love it! Putting the kids in childminding is a great way break for me whilst I enjoy my Yoga and Pilates! childminders are always helpful and caring and the kids club is always clean! I finally found a great LOCAL ladies gym.
