bok choy
Bok Choy in Brighton is the younger sibling to a restaurant bearing the same name in Hawthorn. Serving Chinese cuisine, this restaurant is known for its peking duck dish and dim sims. Meanwhile, the décor is stylish and serene with dark brown walls, genuine Chinese ornaments and wooden dynastic tables and chairs. The black and purple yin and yang symbol gracing one of the walls is particularly captivating. Great value for money and efficient service will complete your dining experience.

This is a fine balance, and one many restaurants fail to achieve, - but 'Bok Choy' manage the perfect balance of earthiness meets sophistication. Whilst the food can only be defined as fine Chinese dining, the variety in menu dishes is reasonably industry standard. It is the little additional extras in professionalism and presentation which makes all the difference, and attracts the price tag attached. I would say the experience at this restaurant is one that you walk away from contented and satisfied, yet it is not a defining moment in dining experience. Given that the dollar is in the presentation, it would not be my first choice for take-away (economically speaking), but more a dine-in restaurant to be short-listed for special occasions and ...read more
