We didn't eat here. We did however, eat next door. We were eating our glorious fish and chips at the tables out the front of the cafes. Our food was fabulous and we were really enjoying our meal...... until the girl from Bollywood cleaned the table out the front of her cafe. She sprayed the table (not into a cloth) and the home brand lemon cleaning spray prayed all over us and our food. The smell of the disgusting chemical was repulsive.
We went into Bollywood to say what had happened and there was no acknowledgment or apology. We mentioned it to the owner of the fish and chip shop, where we got our meal and he informed us that the owner is currently away. He said that he would discuss t with him when he returned.
We have eaten at Bollywood before abd it was good. So it's a shame that uncaring staff are letting this business owner down.
I ordered a hot vindaloo and mild chicken tikka plus some appetisers at a cost of $47. I got home, served the chicken to my near 2 year old and 5 year old only to have them grab their mouths and ask for milk & water. I tried endlessly to call the restaurant but it was constantly engaged. I drove back and angrily (but not rudely) explained to the wait staff that I had ordered mild however my children's mouths were burning and now instead of having a nice meal with my family my food was at home going cold and here I was bringing back a curry. She handed it to the chef who seemed rather annoyed. He tasted it and said 'You want it more mild?' to which I replied 'yes'. Now, I can handle medium-high heat, my mouth still had a tingle from tasting my children's food. It was not 'mild'.
