Roshan Singh started singing at the age of six and since then "gungunana" or singing has always been a part of his life. Roshan studied Engineering in India, but always felt that his true calling was singing.

He moved to Australia in 2003 to pursue further tertiary study and to travel. Completing his masters degree and working to support himself left little time for music, but despite this Roshan started performing in late 2005 with a local Indian band, Sounds of Bollywood.

Roshan's dream was to enter into the Indian Idol competition and in 2007. He travelled back to India for the competition and not only successfully auditioned for Indian Idol ? he made it to the top 14 male performers. He describes participating in Indian Idol as a highlight of his career - "the journey was tough as well as exciting".





Roshan is also fulfilling another dream and has started gaining credit as a song writer, writing primarily in Hindi and covering several different genres of music.

Roshan says of his carreer to date I have been fortunate, taken risks, tried my best to chase my dream - and I am not finished yet. Roshan has been collaborating with Shaia since 2007 as a vocalist and songwriter.
