Bondi Garage

I have been dealing with Paul Day of Bondi Garage for several years now. He is the most honest and reliable mechanic I have ever had the pleasure to do business with. I have had approximately 10 vehicles over a fifty year period and some mechanics have attempted to sting me. Paul was recomended to me by a friend and have been thankful for the advice. As an example of his honesty he advised me that an air conditioner repair would cost me more than the car was worth my present vehicle was 12-13 years old at the time.

Beware - Criminals!! Went here to get a pink slip. Was told my indicator lights were too white (not orange enough) and that my front and rear suspension bushes needed to be replaced. Total around $2500. I paid for the inspection and told them I was getting a second opinion. Went to my usual mechanic and had my pink slip half an hour later. He checked the bushes and bushes and said they were absolutely fine. As for the indicators being to white ....haha what a joke. Nice try guys !!!

I have been taking my cars to Bondi Garage for nearly 17 years and highly recommend Paul and the guys to anyone looking for an honest and reliable mechanic in the Eastern Subs. I am a self confessed, hopeless female car owner and Paul has got me out of trouble on many occasions where I needed something done ASAP. (e.g. when I filled my oil tank on a steep driveway and absolutely flooded, not realising the gauge kept showing empty because i was on a hill) Paul fitted me in straight away, emptied the oil and sorted things quickly so i could get back on the road. I have regular services and yearly rego checks and have never had an issue. Cheers

If you dont want to be intimidated then dont go this mechanic. Its a customers right to refuse a ridiculously overpriced quote and when I said I will look around to see if i could get a better price I was yelled at, then I was hung up on.

I have now received a parking fine from when THEY parked my car out the front of their workshop and now they are refusing to pay for it.

These guys should br reported to the Dept of Fair Trading and Im thinking seriously of doing so.

I wouldn't take my car back to them if they were the last mechanic left on earth. And you shouldn't either.



I told them I didn't want to go ahead with their ridiculously expensive quote. Told me they would return my car, then didn't, then wanted to charge me storage while I organised a tow truck!



I'm kinda glad tho coz the very first wreckers I called after that had what I needed at a third of the price and didn't yell and hang up on me like they did.



It was simply unbelievable.



Go figure.
