I had a friend visiting from interstate so my work let me take mid-morning coffee break outside of the office to meet her. We ended up at Booknook and Bean as its just around the corner and I know they do good coffee. It was not hard at all to be tempted to one of their sweet delights in the glass cabinet either!
Well, the Melbourne trends have well and truly hit Adelaide now. As I was wandering around during my lunch break my eyes suddenly spied what looked like a rather odd coffee shop, so I decided to go and check it out, and I was right it definitely was odd. Basically it is a coffee shop and a second-hand book retailer. Okay, coffee shops and book shops have been around for ages, however this place is more of a coffee shop with some books as opposed to a book shop that sells coffee. However, it is a little more than that the books purchases are used to raise money to fund micro-loans in third world countries, so this place also supports a good cause. Oh, and the coffee isn't bad either.
