OK so it was a Monday night... a hard day at work and the families meals already taken care of so I thought, yup, red duck curry for me ;-) Decided to try the local, down at Panania, "Boom Boom Thai". The place itself looks very very nice... but... the food... Oh boy, what a let down. i ordered red duck curry and fried egg rice. Where do i start? firstly, the lass at the front counter said to me, that's $19.90 but our card limit is $20, so do you want to buy a can of coke or just add ten cents? ok so this really frustrates me. the banks dont charge shops any differently if it was $2 or $200, so what do they care if its $19.90 or $20? anyway, to keep the peace i told them they could bill me an extra 10 cents. then i get the food. oooohhh dear... the red duck curry was the most flavourless red duck curry i have ever had (and i have had a billion of them!). the duck had bones in it the size of dinosaur vertebrae and the duck itself tasted like 40 year old shoes. the sauce was sooooo bland, the ...read more
I ordered from here because I could get it home delivered. Used to be very nice but their food has suffered lately. I've been ordering and dining in for about 2 years but it's not as fresh as it used to be. I have come to expect Thai food to be fresh and light but this is now oily and heavy. And they have become a bit tight with their servings too. Not sure if they've changed chefs or new owners. Please go back to what you used to be. I miss the old panang chicken and the chilli and basil chicken
TERRIBLE FOOD. I REQUESTED TWO PANANG WITH VEGITABLES AND BEEF,CHICKEN AND SEAFOOD AND NOTICED THEY PUT 4 PIECES OF MEAT IN EACH CONTAINER. THE AMOUNT WAS VERY SMALL. FOOD WAS HORRIBLE.
DRY AND WARM.
THE FRIED RICE LOOKED LIKE A SEVEN YEAR OLD MADE IT.
ADVISE - DONT ORDER FROM THIS RESTAURANT.
