Was walking past this cute little wine bar/restaurant and realised it served banoffee pie so we went in! The service was so friendly and they gave great recommendations on which dishes to have. I had the fusilli pasta with truffle and porcini mushrooms and my friend had the pork belly. It was so rich in flavour and the portions were quite generous as we couldn't finish it. They even offered to pack the left over food to take home. However, the dessert selection was a bit of a let down as they only served banoffee and beetroot panacotta. The banoffee pie was great but the waiter hinted to stay clear of the beetroot panacotta! The atmosphere is chilled out, intimate and casual.
Fantastic little bar/restaurant. We go here and get the mushroom fusilli every single time. Attentive staff are accomodating and always do their best to try and seat you. Only downside is that it's an incredibly tiny little space and fills up quite quickly so you have to get in pretty early. Otherwise, great menu and lovely atmosphere.
Cute little bar/restaurant on Victoria Street. It looks tiny when walking past but there are a few more tables towards the back of the narrow space. Three of us sat at the bar on a Friday night and enjoyed an amazing bottle of red. So good that we all wrote it down so we could buy it if we ever come across it. Was a very pleasant bar to be in. We didn't have any food since we had just been at dinner elsewhere, but it looked good so I'll be back sometime to try it for sure.

food - 4.5/5
who doesn't like anything Italian ;-) there is heaps to pick from... and always something new. the meat balls are great as are the prawns!
really another great place for a Friday night dinner with mates.
I am not sure why I waited so long to check out this bar/restaurant. While there may be other Italian eateries in the area, Bootleg bar has a very relaxed and intimate setting which makes it easy for you to hang around for a long dinner and drinks. You can either sit in a booth or at the long bar. Additionally it is pretty affordable with none of the mains exceeding $30 and a large range of wine and drinks. The food is simple yet delicious. I had the Pork Rottolo which melted in your mouth and left a beautiful flavour. While the staff are very friendly, the service can sometimes be slow. I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a casual night out. It has a really great atmosphere and they play great music as well.
