I've eaten here before quite some time ago at the Docklands location. Tonight we ordered some takeaway & had the Amok fish curry, crying tiger salad & somlor char kdov with chicken. All for little less than $50. First issue we had was their refusal to accept American express cards when they clearly were advertised as accepting all cards. After disputing with them for some time she eventually agree to take the card. Second issue was the quality of the food wasn't as great as I had Recalled from my earlier dining experience at the Docklands location. The curry was ok, fish bones found in the fillet fish, the salad was filled with red onion, capscuim & celery with little prawns and the worse part was our rice was burnt. The container looked fine but when you scoop the rice, half way in the Middle the rice was completely burnt. I don't ideally like writing reviews that are negative but felt the overall dining experience at this restaurant wasn't sltoo impressive.
I think this restaurant is trading on a good name it never had. I asked for one dish to be returned as meat was very tough (they told me it was the steak from the supermarket that was the problem!) and another one we ordered was very fatty. They would not accept that the tough meat dish was very substandard (I was only asking for this to be returned) and refused to give a refund. I would NEVER eat there again. Dissatisfied Yarraville customer
This place has been fantastic but it has had its day now. Food is consistently disappointing as I have given it a couple of chances since initially loving it when it first opened. The owners have moved on to their showcase at Docklands now and little effort has gone into maintaining its once excellent quality here in Yarraville. It still seems busy which kind of baffles me?? The menu is the same boring fare as when it first opened years ago.
